Therapy for difficult emotions that are stuck in the mind and body
Trauma-informed and body-oriented therapy with a focus on regulating the nervous system – for individual clients and couples. Book therapy in Hellerup, Østerbro, or online.
Trauma-informed and body-oriented therapy is a gentle and effective approach to working with what is stuck in both the mind and body. Experience shows that difficult emotions, old reaction patterns, and inner tensions cannot simply be talked away—they must also be felt, regulated, and given space in the body.
I offer support in working with trauma and stress reactions through, among other things, Somatic Experiencing (SE) – a body-oriented approach that regulates the nervous system and helps the body return to a state of calm and balance.
Therapeutic courses andbody therapytake place in a safe and calm space, where there is room to deal with difficult issues without being pressured. Former clients describe their therapy sessions as characterized by empathy, presence, and a safe, listening approach—and as something that has given them great value through concrete tools they can use in their everyday lives.
Individual therapy and couples therapy based on concrete tools.
My therapeutic work is based on a deep interest in people's inner lives and a desire to support change in a way that can be felt in everyday life. Change often happens faster than you think when the nervous system calms down and contact is established with the parts that have had a difficult time – both inindividual therapy, when you come alone, and incouples therapy, where you are two people who want to grow together.
A trauma-informed view of humanity – you are not wrong
No one is wrong. Not even you. Your reactions always make sense in light of what you have been through. I see your symptoms as meaningful reactions—not as illness. It is not that there is something wrong with you, but rather that an imbalance has arisen because your body has learned to protect itself. Some parts of you carry burdens and experiences that still weigh on your system. Those parts do not need criticism or condemnation, but care. It is through this that you will find the inner balance that gives you the freedom to live the life that is right for you.
