Psychotherapist Sacha Skott

Certified Somatic Experiencing (SE) Trauma Therapist · Licensed Psychotherapist (MPF) · Body-Oriented & Relational Therapy

I am a certified Somatic Experiencing (SE) trauma therapist and a licensed psychotherapist (MPF). I offer trauma therapy, body-oriented psychotherapy, and couples therapy, working with both individuals and couples.

My therapeutic approach integrates Somatic Experiencing (SE), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT). I work in a trauma-informed, body-based, and relational way, supporting nervous system regulation, emotional safety, and the gradual release from survival-based patterns.

For me, lasting change does not happen through insight and talk alone, but through the body, the nervous system, and felt relational experiences.

Trauma Therapy & Body-Oriented Psychotherapy

As a certified SE trauma therapist, I specialize in working with how trauma is held in the body and nervous system. Trauma can limit our capacity to feel safe, connected, and free to act.

Through somatic trauma therapy, mindfulness, and gentle self-regulation practices, we create new embodied experiences that support:

  • nervous system regulation

  • increased emotional resilience

  • reduced fear and reactivity

  • greater freedom of choice and action

My work is slow, attuned, and respectful of your individual nervous system.

About Me – The Person Behind the Therapy

I am deeply interested in the relationship between body and mind, and in how self-regulation can support greater balance, calm, and agency in life.

I was born in Copenhagen, raised in Sweden until the age of 11, and have lived internationally for many years — 16 years in Germany, 1 year in New York City, and 3 years in London. Living between cultures has shaped my understanding of attachment, belonging, and how humans create safety and meaning in different contexts.

My background as a dancer, together with my long-standing experience teaching yoga, meditation, and mindfulness since 2011, strongly informs my therapeutic work. Through movement, breath, and embodied awareness, I learned early on that trauma, emotions, and protective strategies live not only in the mind, but throughout the entire body.

I am especially interested in how corrective embodied experiences can support healing — allowing people to move out of fear and rigidity and into greater connection, empowerment, and inner freedom.Professional Qualifications
